Share your 2020 Vision for Literacy by submitting a program proposal to present at the SCIRA 45th Annual Conference. Teachers, literacy coaches, administrators, professors, and other educators with expertise in the area of literacy are invited to submit proposals.

SESSION OPTIONS

  • Preconference Sessions – Sessions for Thursday, February 13, 2020. These are 2 ½ hour workshops for the morning or afternoon.
  • Concurrent Sessions – One hour presentations on Friday, February 14 or Saturday February 15, 2020. These concurrent sessions provide participants with hands-on experiences and/or expositions of relevant strategies and literacy topics.

CRITERIA

Relevance of the topic and the quality of and clarity of the proposal’s objectives, content, organization, and methods of presentation will be considered in the selection process, as well as SCIRA membership. ALL PRESENTERS ARE EXPECTED TO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL CANCEL THE PRESENTATION.

DEADLINES

Preconference Session Proposals: Friday, August 9, 2019
Concurrent Session Proposals: Friday, September 13, 2019

All proposals must be submitted electronically via the SCIRA website (www.scira.org).

Refer to the conference tab to access the proposal submission area. All items should be completed. For accepted preconference proposals, the individual submitting the proposal will be notified by August 16, 2019. For accepted conference concurrent session proposals, the individual submitting the proposal will be notified by the beginning of November 2019.

Paper copies of emailed proposals will not be accepted.
